The Challenge
Integrated Sustainability’s client has a landfill that is reaching it’s capacity for waste. Integrated Sustainability’s role was to support the client with associated regulatory permits and expansion application, geotechnical investigation and reporting, as well as detailed engineering design in preparation for construction of the Cell 2 expansion and future Cell 2 capping. The client’s planned further landfilll expansion of Cell 3 and supporting infrastructure was not part of this scope.
The Result
Regulatory approval was achieved with minor additional information requests. The geotechnical investigation confirmed the site suitability, with the analysis and reporting information allowing completion of the detailed engineering design phase including construction specifications based on on-site conditions. Landfill expansion construction was managed by the client.
