An evaluation of the benefits of converting to gas-electric hydraulic fracturing

The Challenge

The client sought to evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of reducing diesel use by transitioning to gas-electric powered frack programs.

The Result

The Innovation and Technology team at Integrated Sustainability has identified that conversion of pressure pumping equipment to gas-electric systems could provide greater than $1.3MM CAD savings over the course of a hydraulic fracturing program in fuel cost alone if exploration and production (E&P) teams utilize fuel gas.
