Evaporator Blowdown (EBD) Treatment Solution Evolution

Have Questions? Let's Discuss Evaporator Blowdown (EBD) Treatment Solution Evolution

A multi criteria analysis (MCA) evaluation of the shortlisted technologies was completed at the preliminary and detailed design stages of the project

The Challenge

Elevator Blowdown (EBD) treatment solutions were being considered to serve as a cost saving alternative to the Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) Facility’s current disposal method for liquid waste from the site.

The Result

Through Integrated Sustainability’s detailed analysis process, we recommended proceeding with the Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system.

It is being carried forward to phase two as the process choice for the SAGD Facility evaporator blowdown waste treatment system.

Mine Water Treatment Plant – Northwest B.C.

Feasibility level engineering design and cost estimating for a mine water treatment plant.
Major constituents for removal included copper, cadmium, iron, arsenic, and ammonia. Plant designed for peak flows of 3,000 m3/day. The design included targeted treatment for arsenic and ammonia. Integrated Sustainability provided full process design, discipline engineering and cost estimating to support the feasibility level design development of the WTP. This includes Influent pre conditioning was investigated to reduce size of ammonia treatment system and reduce estimated plant TIC by $3.4 million.
