Implementation of a Groundwater Management Program

Have Questions? Let's Discuss Implementation of a Groundwater Management Program

Meeting the requirements for the BC Oil and Gas Commission’s Management of Saline Fluids for Hydraulic Fracturing Guideline

The Challenge

The British Columbia Oil and Gas Commission (OGC) released a Management of Saline Fluids for Hydraulic Fracturing Guideline that requires quarterly groundwater monitoring and recommends a minimum of two baseline sampling events prior to operation of a Water Hub containment pond for produced water. Integrated Sustainability was retained to conduct a groundwater sampling program to support the Guideline requirements.

The Result

Integrated Sustainability developed and executed the following scope of work:

  • Groundwater monitoring programs in summer and fall 2015.
  • Preparation of a report summarizing the findings.
