The Challenge
Design and deliver water storage solutions for a large gas producer that can manage both fresh and produced water. Critical design considerations included navigation through the B.C. Oil and Gas Commission draft requirements for produced pond storage, and the Canadian Dam Association Dam Safety Guidelines.
The Result
Integrated Sustainability designed nine freshwater ponds and five produced water ponds on schedule and under budget. We were also contracted to provide procurement support, construction QA/QC, design and installation of groundwater monitoring wells, and a full groundwater monitoring program at all existing pond sites.
