The Challenge

Integrated Sustainability was retained to develop CAD models of a pipeline for the selected route, including pump stations. Along with this, they were tasked with the evaluation and subsequent recommendation for pump requirements and technology. Lastly, Integrated Sustainability was responsible for analyzing pipe material specifications for both the waste stream and environmental challenges to then make a recommendation regarding pipe material.

The Result

Integrated Sustainability analyzed pump station needs for this large 75 km pipeline system and developed recommendations for the pump technology based on cost and performance parameters. Integrated Sustainability then developed preliminary engineering ready CAD models of the pipeline against the geomorphology of the chosen route. Finally, the team analyzed and recommended pipe material selection against a range of environmental and waste composition impacts.

Water Hub & Intake Pipe

Integrated Sustainability was retained to execute the design phase of the client’s Water Hub and Intake Pipeline infrastructure project. The Water Hub and associated infrastructure was required to store and distribute 300,000 m³ of water between two storage ponds, while the Intake Pipeline utilized a pumping system to transport the water over 5.5 km from the source to the Water Hub.
